Ⅰ. Analysis of teaching book
Good morning, teachers and judges. It's my honor to be here give you my presentation. The first part is the analysis of the teaching book.
The topic of this unit is "don't talk in class". It is one of the units of grade seven. It focuses on school rules. It is necessary for a junior student to obey rules of school, family and society. When it comes to talking about rules, the imperative sentence and modal verbs like can and have to should be mastered and need by students. These necessary points play an important role in the new English curriculum standard and it is also one of the essential communicative items for junior students. Students oral English will be improved. So this unit is conducive to the improvement of students' interest, listening, speaking, writing and reading skills. This topic is also closely related to students’ school life, their interest for English class will be easily inspired.
Ⅱ. Background of students' English study
In the second part, I will talk about the background of students' English study. Most of students have a poor background of English study. Some of them even didn't have English class in their primary school. So only a small group of students are motivated. So as an English teacher, some measures should be taken to inspire their interest.
Ⅲ. Teaching method
So the third part of my presentation i will talk about is the teaching method. In order to inspire their interest of learning English, i will give them more opportunities to speak speak English and listen to the original English. I choose "listening and speaking procedure. And task-based teaching procedure will be also applied. Students work in groups and cooperate with each other. In this process they can improve themselves and learn from each other.
Ⅳ. Teaching aims
Then, the forth part of my presentation is teaching aims. For language aim students should master the following words, such as "classroom, hallways, rules, fight and etc, and sentences like don't listen to music in class, we can't fight in class…. For ability aim, student can make a dialogue and talking about rules in the target language. For emotion target, students should obey rules and have a deep understanding of rules.
Key point: Imperative sentence and modal verb “can”
Difficult point: talk about rues in the target language
Ⅴ. Teaching procedure
Step1. Review and warming-up
T: what day is it today ?
What 's the weather like today ?
Why do you like the weather or not ?
then teacher will present an apple to students.
T: Do you like apples ?
S: Yes, I do.
T: Can we eat apples in class ?
S: No, we can't.
T: Can we eat hamburgers in class ?
Can we eat ice-cream in class ?
S: No, we can't.
T: So don't eat in class and why can't we eat in class?
S: (teacher helps student say)because it's a school rule.

(teacher teaches "rules and break rules " in this way)
Step2. Presentation.
T: Now look at the picture. What is she doing ?
S: She is listening to music.
T: Can we listen to music in class ?
S: No, we can't.
T: So don't listen to music in class.
T: where is it ?
S: It's in the hallway.
T: What is he doing ?
S: He is running.
T: Can we run in the hallways?
S: No, we can't
T: So don't run in the hallways.
Teacher present knowledge in the same way.
Step3. Drills.
Task1. What rules did you break before ?
Group contest: students of groups say the rule they broken before one by one. The winner will get the warmest applause.
Task 2. Make a dialogue according to the picture what are the rules ?

Suppose you're a new teacher, you have to make rules for your class. At least five items should be included. Four students work in group and make your own rules then each team send a student to make report.
