一、课程性质、目的和任务
本课程属于专业限选课,授课对象为本科专业高年级学生。本课程的教学目的在于帮助学生系统地总结英语词汇知识, 从而更科学地学习英语词汇,运用词汇学中所学到的基本知识和理论来分析和理解英语词汇, 正确地使用英语词汇。其次,本课程还有助于培养学生在英语学习中对所观察到的语言现象加以分析和总结的技能和习惯,从而培养学生语言的理解、欣赏和分析能力。
二、课程教学的基本要求
本课程的教学要求是通过学习现代英语词汇学的基础理论,使学生了解词的来源、词的形态、词的构成方式、词的语义特征、各种词汇之间的相互关系和变化、 词的联想与搭配等内容,观察美语和英语词汇的区别,掌握常用词汇知识在语言实践中的运用方法与技能,鼓励学生积极参与课堂讨论。
课程的重点:词的构成方式,语义特征,语义变化,词汇衔接和语篇连贯。 课程的难点:词汇衔接和语篇连贯。
三、课程教学基本内容和学时分配
本课程总的学时为32学时。每课为2-4个课时完成。教学内容如下: Chapter 1 A General Survey of English vocabulary

四、课程各教学环节要求
本课程主要以课堂讲授为主,辅以课堂讨论以及课后练习阅读。采用多媒体课件在课堂讲授方式为辅。
本课程为考试课,安排在第13周进行书面考试。主要是测试学生对基本概念的掌握和领会能力,同时具备运用基本理论分析实例的能力和解决问题的能力。
1、 成绩的组成:
期末考试为主;考试比重为100%,平时成绩30%+期末成绩70%
2、考试的形式:闭卷
