General Airport Tips
Plan to get to the airport at least an hour early, or two during holidays and other busy times;
this will reduce the stress of the flight. If all goes well, you will have time to relax, shop for last-minute items, or have a meal before the flight.
Flight Delays
Find out why your flight is delayed. Call the free call numbers. Find out if other airlines are

If you believe the delay is due to something other than weather or air traffic problems, then mention your suspicion (怀疑) and ask the airline agent to book you on the next available flight, either on the same air-line or a competing one. This is called “Rule 240”, and all airlines are required to do it. Use the lingo (行话); ask, "Can you 240 me?” When speaking with an agent, they will know what you mean.
Flight Cancellations (取消)
If your flight is canceled, then make a reservation on the next flight to your destination(目的
地). Usually, air-line officials will try to book everyone on their next flight out. Often they will put you on a competitor's next flight only if you request it. If on-time arrival is important to you, when you check flights through our reservation system you can make your choices based on their on-time arrival records. Be sure to also check the weather conditions, as they often affect flight schedules.

This summer, I spent the Fourth of July at Gibson Park with my family. My grandpa, who lives
several states away, came to visit and celebrate the holiday with us. Since I don't get to see him very often, it made the holiday even more special.
Once we were at the park, we needed to find a place to sit. There were so many people that we
had to walk through a long maze(迷宫) of blankets, picnic baskets, and smells of various Fourth of July feasts. Finally, we found a patch of grass in the sea of people. My brother and I quickly unfolded our chairs and spread out our own big blanket.
The smell of everyone else's food made me feel hungry, which let me know that it was time to
eat. I helped my grandpa make his world-famous cheeseburgers on the smallgrill(烤架) that we brought with us. While the burgers were cooking, Grandpa told me funny stories about when my dad was little. We laughed so hard that we both forgot the cheeseburgers, which ended up more burned than world-famous.
Once the fireworks started, my eyes focused on the sky. The bright colors lit the dark night like
a sunny afternoon. When I realized that the fireworks were reflected in the lake, it was like I was seeing two fireworks shows, one above and one below.
After the firework show, I helped fold the blanket and chairs. The time passed faster than I
expected. With the fireworks and spending time with my grandpa, it had been a great Fourth of July.

Just three days after hitting the screen across China, the Chinese animation(动画) film "Monkey King: Hero is Back" aroused enthusiasm among audience and ticket sales have

The students of class 3 had a discussion about whether it is necessary to start learning English from childhood. Opinions are divided on this issue.
Some of them think that English learning should start from childhood. As little boys and girls have a very good memory, they can learn a lot of English words by heart. This will help them lay a solid foundation for their future English learning.
But others do not agree. Young children have to learn Chinese pinyin at school. If they study Chinese pinyin and English at the same time, it will be very likely for them to mix them up. This will do a lot of harm not only to their Chinese learning but also to their future English learning. In short, the students have not arrived at any agreement yet.
