Step 1 Greeting and revision ( 5mins)
The purpose of this step is to revise the grammar knowledge in previous class.
Step 2 Lead-in (3mins )
The aim of this design is to lead up to the topic, get the students to warm up and arouse their interest in the topic.
Step 3 Pre- reading (2mins )
Discussion :
The purpose of this part is to enable students to learn to work well in teamwork ,develop students reading skills by making prediction and overcome students’ shyness and let them speak in public.
Step 4 While-reading (20mins )
1).Fast reading
This part is designed to develop Ss’ reading skill skimming, that is , enable the students to find out some information quickly.
2).Detail reading
Read the passage carefully and finish the following reading tasks.
The aim is to enable the students to find out the detailed information of this text and understand the structure of this passage.
Step 5 Post-reading (7mins)
Discussion
The purpose is to cultivate teamwork spirit.
Step 6 Consolidation(3mins )
1. Finish some words and expressions exercises
2. Write a summary of the passage.
We use these methods to check the teaching results
Step 7. Homework
1. Recite the new words and expressions of this part.
2. Read through the passage after class.
3. Finish off the workbook exercises.
4. Prepare for the next period.
