May Day can refer to various labour celebrations conducted on May 1 that commemorate the fight for the eight hour day. May Day in this regard is called International Workers' Day, or Labour Day. The idea for a "workers holiday" began in Australia in 1856. With the idea having spread around the world, the choice of May 1 became a commemoration by the Second International for the people involved in the 1886 Haymarket affair.
Working is glorious, and we should respect workers.

24 Solar Terms—The Beginning of Winter
Based on the practical needs of agriculture, Chinese people initiated the 24solar terms towards the end of the Warring States Period (475 B.C.–221B.C.). As a reflection of the regularity of the changes of the climate in the areas of the middle and lower reaches of the Yellow River, the 24 solar terms are still being used by the
farmers. “Lìdōnɡ”is 19th solar term, it means“ the beginning of winter”, usually in Nov.7 or 8.

Fùqinjiã 父亲节
Father's Day is a special day for everyone! We celebrate this holiday on the third Sunday in June. A woman named Sonora Smart Dodd from Washington, thought of the idea for Father's
Day while listening to a Mother's Day sermon in 1909. Her father, Henry Jackson Smart, had raised Sonora after her mother died and she wanted him to know how special he was to her. Her father was born in June, so she chose that month to celebrate the new holiday! Tags: Chinese Qingming Festival
A Chinese holiday, celebrated on April 5th, is the Qingming Festival (aka Chingming Festival.) Qing, in Chinese, means pure or clean and Ming means brightness. Most people call this holiday grave-sweeping day because people head to the cemetery to clean graves.
