1. and w hat no t; 2. and a ll that; 3. Etc. 1. and w hat no t
Ev ery a spect -histo rical , g eog ra phical and
what no t-must
be ta ken into considera tion.
2. a nd all tha t
and
a ll tha t
W e spend ov er a n h our cleaning up a ll the waste paper a nd such .
3. etc.
etc .
1. and them 2. a nd o the rs /andthe other s 1. and them 是成语, 因而即使在句中作主语, 也不能将其改为and they 。
2. and o ther s; and the other s
and o th ers ; a nd the o th ers 是英语中指代人的最常用的词组, 意为“其他等人”, and the o the rs 在强调具体指代的其他人时使用, 而and o thers 则是泛指其他人。
例:To m has been there tog ether w o th Jack and o th ers.
I wo nde r what Wa ng a nd the o th ers a re doing now .
1. and the like 2. and so on 3. and all
1. and the like 有时亦作or th e like, 也是成语, 作“等等或诸如此类相关的事物”解。and the like /o r the like
The children lear n singing , da ncing , dr awing a nd the like in the kinderga r ten .
2. a nd so o n
and so on 亦作and so fo rth , 表示“等等依此类推”。
Gro wing to bacco inv o lv es quite a lo t of
wo rk :w atering , manuring , pruning , and so for th .
3. a nd all
1. H is family has g one to th e countr yside,
his pa rents , bro ther s , siste rs and all .
(His family members include his par ents, bro th-e rs, sisters and a ll. )
