The analysis of teaching material :
This teaching period mainly deals with the grammar: the v-ing form as the subject and object. It is abstract and difficult, so it is necessary to make the lesson interesting and connect it with their daily life so that they can accept and understand it easily. Firstly, ask students to discover the useful structure .Secondly, ask them to understand and summarize the structure. At last , ask them to do some exercises. The analysis of students :
As for the grammar,some students are not interested in it and some don’t like learning it .Therefore,I’ll let students study in a relaxed atmosphere. During my class.I’ll design some interesting games to activate them in learning .And do some interactive work. Then students will get interested in the grammar. Teaching aims : Knowledge aim :

Task 1 Show a picture of Yao Ming. Ask students to talk about him using the following expressions:

Task 2 Discovering the useful structures
Ask students to write the sentences describing Yao Ming on the blackboard and pay attention to the v–ing form as the subject and object.
And then show a passage including the v-ing form as the subject and object.Ask
students to find out the sentences using the v-ing form as the subject and object. Task 3 Summarizing the structures.
Ask students to discuss and summarize the usage of the v-ing form as the subject and object.

v-ing 形式作主语时,谓语动词用单数。 Eg: Reading English aloud is very useful. 2 The v-ing form as the object. a. 作某些动词的宾语
finish, enjoy, imagine, consider, practice , suggest , stop , mind …
Eg: Do you mind opening the door? I can’t imagine living like that. b. 作某些介词的宾语
without ,instead of, dream of , put off , be used to , look forward to …, insist on , be fond of ,give up , …
Eg: A great many students gave up smoking. I’m looking forward to hearing from you. C 有些词既可接-ing也可接to do 作宾语。如forget , remember , mean , stop , try… Eg: He try to answer each question by himself.
They’ll try repairing the broken plane in a new way. Step 3 Grammar practice Task 4 Fill in the blanks .

此语言现象在以前经常见,因此学生并不陌生。这一部分采用发现和探究的方法,让学生自己通过练习来归纳总结使用,效果很好。课堂上学生积极表现,课堂气氛活跃。但是介绍自己时,有些害羞,语言表达能力也有待于提高。
