As I sit at home thinking about my upcoming adventure and the things I need to bring, it
makes me even more excited to begin my travel. I will be making my way around the world.
The first places on the list are Andalusia and Africa in the book The A1chemist. I will need to
pack a lot of stuff and make sure I have enough money to provide myself with food and enough to
drink. The Sahara desert is always hot and requires plenty of water.
Next I will head to Mexico in the book Born to Run, where I will encounter the Tarahumara
Indian tribe. I will need to get into shape and do some jogging if I want to keep up with them
while running. I will have to pack my running shoes, though, because the Tarahumarans have
mastered the art of running on the tough land.
After Mexico, my journey takes me to the Egyptian desert in the novel The Paris Vendetta.
There I hope to help uncover an ancient conspiracy (阴谋) that goes back centuries. Just like my
trip to Andalusia, I will have to make sure I have plenty of water. Packing the Camelbak products
seems like the best idea, so I will have water on hand at all times. I expect this adventure to be
quite intersting, and I am very excited about it.
Lastly, I will make my way back to America in the book Shattered: Struck Down, But Not
Destroyed. This makes me feel excited because like the main character in the book, I also wanted
to become a professional athlete when I was younger. For this trip, I will go with an open mind

Is traveling by plane still the best way to travel? This is a question that a lot of people are
probably now asking themselves, espccially since they currently have a longer list of items that are
not allowed on airplanes because of the recent threats that have come to light. But does this mean
that traveling by plane is now the worst way to travel? Well, it really depends on how you look at
it.
Let's take into consideration some of the other ways to travel. If you choose to travel by train,
then it will probably take you a longer time to get to your destination. But a train ride is not that

many people really like to take long trips in a car with their family. You will have to make a lot
rnore stops, and you may end up more exhausted.
The most uncomfonable option for long tnps is the bus. You may not realize it but riding on a
bus can be very exhausting. Some feel that the price of a bus trip is so much cheaper than a plane
ride. While this may be true in most cases, for you to actually be able to enjoy your vacation, il
may be better to take a plane.
If you choose to travel by plane it will mean spending extra time in the airport, and there is
always the possibility of a delay. But the extra security measures are there for your safety. Even if
you have to wait in line for a long period of time, at least you knou that it is the only way to be
fully protected. It is also a lot easier to travel by plane when you have young children. You still
end up getting to your destination a lot quicker than using other means of transportation.

If you can't beat them, eat them! That's what government officials in Illinois have decided to do with the Asian carp(鲤鱼), a fish that's damaging the ecosystem of the waterways.
Asian carp are considered an invasive species — an animal or a plant that moves into an area and harms native animals or plants. Invasive species usually arrive at a new home by accident. They may come on cargo ships that travel around the world, for example. Some invaders are brought to an area on purpose to be sold as pets or food.
Officials have been trying to prevent Asian carp from spreading since the fish showed up in the lower Mississippi River in the l970s. However, the fish have swum farther and farther north ever since. Asian carp are now so numerous in the Mississippi River that they are known for leaping out of the water by the dozens.
This might not seem like a big deal. But invasive species can disturb the fragile balance of an ecosystem. Officials hope to stop the fish from reaching the Great Lakes in the north.
Now Illinois hopes to solve the problem by making the fish a part of people's diet. However, despite the fact that Asian carp are widely eaten in China, many folks in the US confuse them with native carp, which are believed to contain lots of pollutants.

Three retired friends complained about the trash on the river which used to be very clean. At last they decided to clean up the river on their own.
This story reminds me of the stream behind my house. The stream used to be very clear. I often played in the stream with my friends when I was young. But now the stream has changed into a black one. Plastic bags, plastic bottles, dead mice, dead chickens and other trash float on the stream. It smells so bad that I often feel sick.
The reasons for the stream being polluted are as follows. First, more and more houses are built along the stream, which means more and more trash and dirty water in the stream. Second, people are not aware of the importance of protecting the environment. Last, no measures have been taken to ban people from polluting the stream.
To stop the stream from getting worse, I'll write to the press and the local government and call on people not to do harm to the stream any more.
