Abstract : Flue gas denitrification technology based on Selective catalytic reduction (SCR ) is currently one of the
mainstream technologies in the world. In order to protect equipment and control the using of ammonia, we need to monitor the ammonia escape in the SCR outlet. This paper discusses the
principles of the continuous detection of ammonia escape. Using a SCR unit as an example, we discuss the application of ammonia escape online detection instrument based on tunable diode laser absorption spectroscopy (TDLS ) method in thermal power plants. The results show that we can derive accurate and reliable ammonia escape detection by using TDLS, and then provide protection and efficiency for the plant .
