小学英语全英文第二课时说课稿
Good morning, distinguished judges. I am candidate no.1 applying for the primary English teacher. It ’s my great honor to stand here to interpret my lesson. The lesson topic I am going to talk about is part A let’s try and let’s talk in the unit X of primary English book X PEP. I will explain how to teach and the reasons for doing this from the following six aspects: The analysis of teaching material, the analysis of students, teaching method, learning method, teaching procedures and blackboard design. I will talk about them one by one.
Now let’s focus on the analysis of teaching material. It can be divided into three parts: the status and the function, the teaching aims, the key points and the difficult points. I will talk about them one by one.
This lesson is the second period of this unit. It includes three parts. In section 1, it mainly provides an excise to train the students’ abilities of listening. And in section 2, it presents a short dialogue about how to go to school. In section3, it provides a real situation for the students practice the sentence patterns. This is an important lesson in this unit. The students have learned some basic words and sentences about how to go to school in the first period. So it is not difficult for the students to understand the dialogue and finish the task in this period. What’s more, the topic in this unit is related to our daily life, so it will be helpful to stimulate the students’ interest in using the English language. Therefore, this lesson is in the important position of this unit.
Based on the new curriculum standard and the psychological characters of the students in grade X, I design the following teaching aims. The first is knowledge aim, they are to make sure the students can read, recognize and use the key words and phrases correctly and skillfully. To get the students to be familiar with the sentence patterns and learn how to use it. Be able to finish the exercise in the part let’s try independently. The second is ability aim. It’s to develop the students’ abilities of listening and speaking. The third is emotional aims, they are to arouse the students’ interests in learning English and to develop their sense of cooperative learning.
According to the teaching aims, I set the key points and difficult points. The key points are to make sure the students can understand and use the key words and phrases correctly and skillfully. To arouse the students’ interests in learning English. The difficult point is to help the students ask and answer question with XXXXX
Now let ’s talk about the analysis of students. Students in grade X are very active and have curiosity about new knowledge. They are eager to learn and eager to show. Their abstract thinking ability is developing. After learning English for X years .they have some basic English background knowledge. So the teacher should attach importance to the communication with them, providing them the chances of using language. As we all know, the main instructional aims of learning English in primary school is to cultivate the students’ abilities of listening and speaking and their good sense of English language. The students in primary school are very curious and want to know everything. What’s more, it’s important for the teachers to keep the students’ interest in class. So in this lesson I will mainly use task based teaching method and communicative method. That’s to say, I will let the students learn in the real situation and learn by finishing many small tasks. I will arrange many activities such as singing, guessing game, finishing a survey and having a competition. New curriculum standard advocates improving the students ’ abilities of analyzing and solving problems. The teacher should change the old fashioned teaching ways, give the students more opportunities to join the class and let them find out problems by themselves. Our students are mostly from the countryside. So I will let the students learn in a relaxed atmosphere. The students will learn by cooperative learning method. That’s to say, they will learn
in groups and learn from each other. During this lesson, a multimedia computer, a tape recorder and some cards with words will be needed.
Based on the theory students are the master in the class while the teacher acts as the director, I design the teaching procedures as followed. I will finish my lesson in six steps.
Step 1 greeting
First I will sing an English song good morning to greet the class. The purpose is to keep the students relax and build a harmonious and democractic atmosphere between the teacher and the students before the class. Then I will ask the students some basic questions such as what is your name to let the students answer my with simple English, thus raising the students’ confidence in learning English and make them be brave enough to use English language.
Step 2 leading in activities
I will begin my class with a listening and singing game. Just like this: I will use the tape recorder to play the part let’s chant. The students read after the recorder and then sing it in groups.
Then there is a free talk between the teacher and the students. I will ask the students some questions such as XXXXX. The students should answer as quickly as possible.
The purpose is to review the learned knowledge by listening and speaking. At the same time, sing a song is helpful to draw the students’ attention to the class.
Step 3preview
First I will present the cards of words they have learned in the first period and ask them XXXXX. The students should answer my question according to the content on the cards. This exercise will be continued until most of the students can read the words on the cards and use the sentence pattern.
Then the students do pair work activity. Two students cooperate to use the cards to ask and answer questions with the sentence pattern XXXX. I will provide help to those who have difficulty in expressing the words and sentences. Thus enable every students can master the words and sentences and make a preparation for the next step.
Next I will use the tape recorder to play the part let ’s try, the students look at the pictures and choose the correct answer according to the recorder. The purpose is to further the students’ sense of the main sentence patterns and develop the students’ abilities of listening.
Step 4presentation and practice
First I will have a free talk with the students. XXXXXXXX
The purpose is to elicit the topic in the let’s talk naturally.
Then I will use the multimedia computers to show the part X sentence by sentence on the screen, help the students understand the meaning of the whole passage, and ask the students to play the role of XX to answer my questions about the dialogue such as XXXX.
The purpose is to help the students understand the dialogue better.
Next I will ask the students to read after the tape recorder to help the students’ pronunciation more standard. After this, I will divide the whole class into four groups to have a competition. Just like this: I ask the four groups to read the sentences successively. Then I will number which group read them the most fluently. Proper competition can arouse the students’ interests in leaning.
Finally the students do pair work activities. The students work in groups of 2 to do role play game. I will show some pictures on the screen. Two students cooperate to replace the words on the screen to practice the dialogue. After several minutes, I will ask some students to perform their dialogue in the class.
The purpose is to provide a real situation for the students use the sentences and make a dialogue can check if the students use the sentences skillfully.
Step 5consolidation
In this step I will let the students finish a survey about XXXX. The table like this:write down names and XXXX
The purpose is to develop the students’ abilities of communication and cooperation.
Then I will assign a task for the students to have a free talk to find out the rule of leaning, form a good habit.
Step 6homework
I will ask the students to read after the tape recorder after class. The purpose is to make the students ’ pronunciation more standard.
I will also ask them to collect some more information about XXX through dictionary and internet. The purpose is to wide the students’ knowledge.
Finally I will talk about my blackboard design. In order to make the students know the important points and remember them, I will write the key words and sentences on the blackboard.
At last, I want to say to be an English teacher is my dream. I think a good teacher is not only a guide for the students but also a friend of them. If I were a teacher, I will build a close relation with my students, helping them not only on their study but also on their lives.
