[Abstract]Gender issues have long become entangled with issues of language. Recent researches indicate that gender may be more fundamental as an influence on sociolinguistic variation than has been recognized so far. This article will try to discuss the different language uses between men and women and point out the different gender characteristics in English language use in the hope for a further understanding and exploration of the relationship between gender differences and language use.

I. Introduction
Gender differences are a fundamental fact of human life and it is not surprising to find them reflected in languages. There are a few languages which have certain phonological and morphological forms that are appropriate for use only by women and others that only men can use (unless a speaker of one gender is quoting a member of the other).
